We have helped Betty:
Betty, age 78, was in a quandary. Retired and on a fixed budget that allows for no frills, she lives alone in her neat little house in the 43219 area. Not more than 5’ tall, this spry senior lugs a lawn mower up and down her basement steps to keep her yard immaculate.

She contacted Rebuilding Together because the roof covering her patio had fallen into total disrepair, and her insurance company would no longer give her homeowner’s coverage. She avoided using her back door. The roof threatened to fall at any time. Estimates for the repairs exceeded $10,000, an amount far beyond her meager income.

Twenty-three volunteers worked for over 250 hours to make repairs valued in excess of $10,000. In addition to completely removing and restructuring the roof, they painted and made various minor repairs that should keep Betty’s home warm, safe and dry for years to come.
