About Our Program

Rebuilding Together Central Ohio repairs homes to provide a warm, safe, and dry living environment for low income homeowners. With an emphasis on families, elderly and those living with a disability, Rebuilding Together Central Ohio provides renovation services so that homeowners may live with independence and dignity.

 

Typical Repairs

Rebuilding Together Central Ohio repairs typically include adding handrails to stairways, repairing and replacing dangerous steps, fixing dangerous electrical wiring or conditions, repairing plumbing fixtures, installing safety devices, painting interiors and exteriors, and general cleaning.

 

Volunteers

Community volunteers are recruited from sponsoring companies, church groups, civic associations, area high schools and universities. These volunteers typically assist with light carpentry work, interior and exterior painting, yard work, and cleaning. These teams will be providing services through out the year.  When Rebuilding Together Central Ohio volunteers work on a home, neighbors see the work accomplished and are inspired to begin making repairs to their own homes. It generates community and homeowner pride, helping to make the neighborhood a more positive environment for everyone.
